Annual Scholarship Program
2018 Endicott Umpires Scholarship
The Endicott Umpires Chapter services high school and youth baseball and softball leagues around Broome and Tioga counties. Additional information can be found at www.endicottumpireschapter.com.
Two $500 awards will be issued. Payment will be made directly to the recipient’s College or University of enrollment in the recipient’s name to be applied toward tuition.
Application Deadline: May 18, 2018
Eligibility: Graduating high school senior continuing his or her education at a 2-year or 4-year college. Participation in high school or teener baseball or softball serviced by Endicott Umpires Chapter:
High schools Serviced: Union-Endicott Central Schools, Vestal Central Schools, Maine-Endwell Central Schools, Owego Central Schools, Newark Valley Central Schools
Summer Leagues Serviced: Tri-County Teener League (Baseball through 2017), Union-Endicott Baseball and Softball (Softball)
Amount of Award: $500
How to apply:
1: Complete the attached form.
2: Submit a 7 semester transcript (official or unofficial accepted)
3: Submit a brief essay (500-1000 words) of how baseball or softball has impacted your growth, development, and character.
4: Submit a letter of recommendation from a current or former coach that discusses your work ethic, character, and sportsmanship.
To submit application electronically: Submit all materials (attached form, transcript, essay, and scanned recommendation letter) attached as a PDF to EndicottUmpires@gmail.com. Use “Endicott Umpires Scholarship” as the subject line. Please name your document file(s) with your first and last name. A verification e-mail will be sent out upon receipt of your application.

Application awardees will be notified via e-mail. Recipients must submit proof of enrollment at an institution of higher education in order to have award sent to the designated school.
